MDF board, or medium-density fiberboard, is an engineered wood product. Plain MDF is produced in different sizes and thicknesses for uses in different applications. It is mostly used to produce wooden doors, floors, furniture, partitions and more.
Commercial plywood is similar to shuttering ( film faced plywood ) in that it is composed of thin sheets of individual wood veneers assembled in a particular manner and pressed together to form a plywood sheet.
Film faced plywood comes in different qualities and strengths based on the number of plys and other factors. The quality the of plywood is also affected by the type of glue used, such as phenolic glue (or other glue) impregnated paper.
